smilesalot2u Posted July 6, 2005 Report Share Posted July 6, 2005 I wanted to ask has anyone tried attaching 2 D cell batteries to the external 3 volt connector on the RH10 or any minidisc , looking at the specs in theory I should be able to do it. Years ago I used to have a 2 D cell battery pack to my walkman so I figured I could do the same thing here. Voltage is the same just increased Mah storage capacity. But before I do it I wanted to ask the Masses their opinion is there any other things I haven't thought of. I bought the 2 D volt battery pack from radio shack also obtained the correct power interface, Iv'e confirmed the voltage is correct the next thing to do is solder them together and plug it in. I got this Idea from reading about digital cameras, theres a guy on the net that gives explicit instructions how to build a battery pack for the camera to take mor pics. If anyone is interested I can give the URL. Qwakrz Posted July 6, 2005 Report Share Posted July 6, 2005 The other way would be to make something that attaches to the extr battery contacts that the AA cell pack uses. If you are crafty with a soldering iron and dont mind damaging the extra battery pack, solder some wires onto that & put a single D or C cell rechargable on them.
