Silvos
Have you ever noticed that sonic stage can take anywhere from 75 to 100% cpu usage when playing OMA files?I just discovered that Media Player Classic can play OMA files at 1-5% cpu usage check it out here http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ackage_id=84358 Edited July 9, 2005 by Silvos

Silvos
They are OMA's that were created with Sonic Stage 3.1, I have not tried any others!
zerodB
That is because there is a DirectShow filter for OMG/OMA files. You can even playback OMG/OMA files in Windows Media Player. The playback kinda sucks tho, you don't get gapless. And you still need SS installed on your PC to get it to work in the first place. Edited July 10, 2005 by zerodB
Syrius
^^^But even so, does that mean that you can play those OMA files on another computer which is not the original? I mean, since SS is not active when you play them with MPC, there's no way it can check the DRM, right?
Prof.OND
i'm afraid that won't be possible. The drm info is imbedded in the oma/omg file.I've done the test and was not able to play it on another computer.

The only tracks you can play are those already authorised in the same machine's SS library.
