Tetsugaku-San Posted February 4, 2006 Author Report Share Posted February 4, 2006 Right it's funny how you opinions can change on something after a while isn't it?For example I used to think Star Wars was great until I watched all of the prequels and felt betrayed, I feel Sony has done the same to me with my NW-A3000.Please read the review part oneAnyway - ignore everything I said about the player. Well not all of it. The player still rules on one thing - sound quality - honestly the thing does sound fantastic.What it does fall down on is this: Software (transfering files), controls (the menus make no sense), functonality (you can't make a playlist on the fly), build quality (the thing breaks VERY easily)I've had the player for ten weeks and it's currently in for repair under warranty. This is what has finally broken me and I'm going to sell it on ebay as soon as it comes back. I dropped the player from my train seat, 50cm onto carpet, and the controls stopped working.Can youbelieve that? I am firmly of the opinion if ssomething is sold as 'mobile' it should BE 'mobile' not so delicate that you have to put it in a case, in a bag, wrapped in bubble wrap inside another bag to keep it safe. Piece of crap. My last Creative MP3 player I dropped onto concrete a few dozen times and that survived for 3 years! this lasted 10 weeks!!The other horrendous problem is the software. It just doens't work. I don't mean 'a bit crap' I mean really just does not do what you want it to do. For example I wanted to make a playlist for walking and going to the gym, so some nice rock tunes and happy up beat stuff. I managed to get 250 songs in the list but it took me about two hours to make! TWO HOURS!!! Guest Stuge Posted February 5, 2006 Report Share Posted February 5, 2006 er cos I don't want to loose two hundred notes? it'l sell for about £125 on ebay, I'll still be £75 down.Since this player was not working properly with you then how can you say it will not give problems to the other person as well .Remember don`t sell things which have already given you a lot of headache .Customer might feel betrayed if this player also gave him/her the same problem.Also they might lose trust in you because you sell them a repaired product ..If I ever had this type of problem with my player then i would have never want to sell it to others because acc to me this is cheating not business .Sometimes reputation is also important not the money ......Sony has betrayed you that doesn`t mean that you aslo going to betray other people as well ..Think your self.Sony has already lost there reputation by selling this ... Tetsugaku-San Posted February 6, 2006 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2006 Sadly I don't have sufficent funds to take a knock this large, the player itself is under guarentee, I'll sell it with the documentation, meaning it can be taken back to Sony should anything go wrong with it, and after it's returned byt he engineers it should be good as new.I will take photos of the player, inc the scratches and drop damage so people will be buying it with all the knowledge they need to make the decision.If Sony would just admit the thing is crap and give me my money back I'd be happier - sadly they won't :'( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
