gem
hi, i didn't have this problem with Simple Burner before. not on my regular computer.the thing is, i'm living somewhere else right now (temporarily), using a different computer. i installed simple burner and sonicstage, both installed fine. but when i put in a cd and tried to rip the tracks to md using Simple Burner, it said that it wanted to test my cd drive. i clicked "start" and then after a while it said that "this handle is invalid" so it can't go on testing. but if it doesn't succeed testing it wouldn't let me directly rip to md either. grrr..sonicstage works okay though. i'm using win xp pro sp2. can anyone help me? has anyone encountered this before? It's been a while since you posted this..I was crawling through the myriad of posts within this forum and noticed no one answered this for you. p.s. Do another 'cast! gem
hi chris!well, i'll do another 'cast in a few weeks when i get back to my dorm (and broadband internet). =)i downloaded windows media player 10 and it worked fine already. at that time i suspected that it could be because my windows xp's default WMP 9 codecs were maybe too old for sonicstage/ simple burner. but i couldn't download WMP 10 because i was home on summer vacation, on a slow slow slooow dial-up connection. but anyway i managed to download WMP 10 and it worked fine after that. the cd-preparation thing. thanks for asking!
