Normality
Okay, My minidisc player can play discs normal. But If I try to put on something new onto it, It will transfer the Name of it, but not the song itself? Is it broken or just a small thing I'm screwing up. I don't think it's broken cause it reads old discs fine. Please help.
Syrius
Even if it reads discs just fine, it might be a sign the recording head (which is separate from the reading head) is going kaput. Try to record real time through the analog or digital inputs. If you still can't hear anything, then it's the recorder. If it works, then maybe the issue is with the original files. (VBR MP3, for example)

I have an old one that broke a few years ago and the Reading head broke now can I take that out an stick it in the newer one. Christopher
Welcome to the forums. I doubt it's possible, but what models are both of these?
