Hi guys

I want to ask all of you:

1) What is your transfer speed for a 60 minutes album (aprox) at 256 kbps mp3 to a himd disc in atrac hi-sp (including convertion)

2) The transfer speed for a 60 minutes album already converted to hi-sp in SonicStage ,so just the transfer to the himd in atrac hi-sp.

Please let me know your system specs, because I think my transfers are going pretty slow.

Thanks for your time

Hi,

Can't answer the first but the 2nd part takes me about 15 mins (which I think is slow!). I put this down to my system though Win98se, 400MHz, 128MB RAM.

(Simple burner is about half the speed though)

Whats your timing?

As for transferring an album that has already been encoded, I'll get back to you on that one, but obviously, it wouldn't be very long.

it would probably be very similar to the actual medias read/write speed keeping in mind the seeking and initial spin-up needed to write. Also fragmentation will slow recording down because the unit will need to seek
