Purplehayes
I have a MZ-NHF800 which I bought over the net from a store in Canada a few months before hi-md's hit the UK market. It came with Sonic Stage 2.0 which I was using very happily on my computer at work. My computer was upgraded, the new one was installed with windows xp professional. I re-installed SS 2.0 only to find that it would no longer recognise my 1gb disc and I then discovered that it would not recognise any of the normal 80 minute discs that I had formatted to hi-md. Any normal net md disc using sp, lp2 or lp4 is recognised in the usual way but trying to use SS to format one of these discs to hi-md causes SS to chunter to itself for a moment and then do nothing.I have since downloaded SS 3.1 but it is behaving in exactly the same way.I am a big fan and an apostle of MD as a format and I really miss my single disc with 40 or so albums on it - but to tell you the truth I am now seriously considering giving up and joining the iPod herd! Can anyone give me any help to get it working before it's too late? The Low Volta
hi Purplehayes, welcome to MDCF...best thing to try is a clean install of the latest SS version (3.2)... just follow the uninstall instructions in this thread and install a 3.2 from hereif stuff still isn't working... please post again (including full specs as explained in the rules)...as we all will try to keep you as a part of the MD-club... just say no to the ipuddle btw: you have xp-pro, but have you got SP2? it is necessary for SS to run properly...hope the clean install works!
