pilfer22
I'm going to be buying a minidisc player/recorder in the very near future. Is it really worth getting HI-MD or is it wiser to buy and old school MD off of ebay for cheap? I'm basically going to be using it for about 4 hours a day at work and at my apartment from time to time. What do you guys reccomend. D-EJ915
Well the older units will definetely get a longer battery life, but I guess it depends on what you really want to do.As for my MD-ing, my "old-school" mds work just fine, ya know, recording them or NetMD-ing them up (LP2) but if you "need" to have a million songs at once, one of the newer ones would be sweet, the MZ-NH1 being the "best" I guess, but if you need the MP3 support then the MZ-RH10 is the hottest. atrain
i'd go with himd gen. one at the very least, or an rh10 if posible. great recording features, add on battery pack, excellent screen. as you don't need 'legacy' md modes so the first generation is not a must buy in your situation
pilfer22
the hi-md seems good for carrying around a day's worth of music or so, which is what i'm leaning towards. if i get a hi-md player, is there a car stereo taht plays them? or is that a lame question? atrain
go with a himd & get a vanilla car stereo with an aux input that way what ever portable you have can just be pluged in for instant sound.
