I am pretty sure in SS, you can just highlight all the sony you want to convert, right click on them and go - Convert to.. and then Select the formate (Atrac or AtracPlus) and then what bitrate you want to use.

It will then convert all the highlighted songs, and store the atrac conversions on your HD.

Thanks, but I guess I wasn't clear enough. I'm talking about over 20gigs of MP3 stored on a removable hard drive. SS won't let me save my batch conversions to the Storage Device, maybe because it's a wireless. Needless to say I can't move 20 gigs to my MD.

I need a stand alone app here....

The process described actually works the same. You drag a handful of your MP3's into SonicStage, view all tracks, sort by codec or import date, select the files, right click, and convert. It doesn't store them on the unit during this process, it just creates the ATRAC file from the MP3 file.

If you need the resulting ATRAC files residing ultimately on your wireless SAN device, you can copy the files over, remove the reference from your SonicStage library, and then readd the references by dragging them into SS.

I've done nearly 10gb of mp3s at one time by this method, so worst case scenario, you could do it in two batches. obviously you'll need nearly the same amount of space on the drive with sonicstage installed though....
