I picked up an Rh910 right as they were released back in April. I used my old R37 and R90s primairly for concert recording, so the idea of the added storage of Hi-Md really apealed to me (and the new mp3 support was just a nice bonus).

Well, as some of my previous posts will show- my first concert recording was dreadful. The actual taping was fine and the sound quality was excellent... my troubles all occured when it came to uploading the show. Previous to uploading, I had listened to the whole show and split it into proper tracks. When I went to upload, just about every track gave me an error and I was only able to upload half the show and alot of those songs were missing parts. It was a disaster (especially when I tried to upload again and ended up permanently deleting songs... yikes).

Well, After reading more and more on here, I learned that you shouldnt split up tracks on the unit (something I had only done for convienence until I was able to upload). So, tonight I just recorded a show and I left the one long track alone. Got home, hooked up the Md to the pc and the transfer went flawlessly. The entire 2 hour file was transfered without a single hiccup. Transfered it to .wav and all was perfect.

SonicStage 3.2 gave me the courage to give this all one more shot and this board gave me the knowledge to make sure I didnt mess anything up myself.

No real point to this thread other than HI-MD rocks and I can't wait to use the unit again this coming Saturday cool.gif

Zappa-

I had a similar experience with my first NH900 uploading that almost made me get rid of everything MD. I had an error on the upload and a blue screen of death. When I tried to re-upload, you know SS deleted everything and I almost cried. Well, I learned to divide large PCM tracks into a few smaller one for uploading and I haven't had 1 problem since that first bad experience. But, I tell you that 1 experience with uploading had me longing for my old MD deck and optical cables.

I don't think splitting tracks causes the problem with SS and TOC, it's combining the tracks that almost always leads to the omnijibox.exe error. It's like the DRM can't handle the updated TOC for combined tracks. But, since SS 3.2 now allows multiple uploads, I won't even bother with dividing tracks since I can just try again if I need the 2nd attempt!

Glad to have you back in the flock! biggrin.gif
