Sonic stage error and shut down.

Hey there fellow Minidisc'ers,

i have had my player/recorder for a couple years now and all of a sudden i start getting "0x7fffffff cannot read memory" whenever i start sonicstage or try to copy a compact disc on to my mini disc player. i have two models: N505 and N707. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the SS 3.1 that i got from this site but it gives me the same thing. Is there something i am forgetting to do? Maybe something i am not uninstalling or deleting which would cause this to happen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know my way around PC's so dont be afraid to hit me with the high end tech stuff.

if you want to check whether it is something missing/remaining from previous installations... just follow the 'clean install' instructions from this thread and install SS3.2

if things still won't work... please post all info according to the rules so ppl can help more easily, thanks
