Seems so, they appear to be rather rare and expensive though. For availability, ask dr. google for "TDK MDD140", "Sony MMD-140" and "Sony MMD-140A", they're about 12 U$ each.

"MD-Data equipment uses a slightly different media than MD-Audio gear and in general the two classes of equipment have poor interoperability. The MD-Data and MD-Audio cartridges are shaped slightly differently, and the Read-only TOC information on the discs are different. The result is that Data MD equipment cannot generally write to Audio MDs, and vice versa. Some Data-MD equipment can play MD-Audio discs (via an audio-out jack on the unit), and the multi-track recorders (see the multitrack equipment table) can use MD-Audio discs in a diminished 2-track recording mode. Try Googling for the Yamaha MD8 for further hints and tips - I think it was more popular and it's very much the same apart from the number of tracks. Given how obsolete they are, I'd not expect to pay much for one. Neat machines, though - I can't quite part with my MD8 even though I have no real use for it.
