Hey guys. I need to do some guitar recording and I was wondering what adaptor I need to record directly from my guitar into the net md (if you have a picture that would help as well) I already have a male to male cable for recording between the md and the pc etc. any other cables I need?

thanks biggrin.gif

An 6.3 to 3.5 mm adaptor, like that:

But you'll propably get a signal only in the left channel unless you use a special mono to stereo adaptor. You need to reduce the guitar's output volume if you plan to record through the microphone input to avoid distortion.

That would likely work, but I think you'd get better results going in the other direction..... use your regular (mono) instrument cable, and adapt it down with a mono adapter like this one:

I'd go to the line in, not the mic, and set your input gain so your recording is clean.

As a bonus (something I do fairly frequently), you could use a Y-adapter similar to this one:

... plug your axe (with adapter) into one side of the Y, and plug a source (such as a walkman-type CD player) into the other.... balance the levels with the volume knob of your git and the volume output of the source.... and you can record yourself playing along with the music....
