gjkendall
I am in the market for a HI-MD player.......price is not so much of an issue (at the moment)Is it really a case of the more you spend the better the unit, or am I being silly!I do not have a pc at home (at the moment, will be getting one soon) and was wondering how much I can copy to HI-MD using the standard optical connection....hopefully it'll be more than the 5 or so hours I can do at the moment on my Sony MZ-R501!I would be able to copy stuff to HI-MD from my PC at work though! As I understand it, the NZ models are the best....but I thought I would ask you guys! Thanks in advance for any help offered....GAvin

I don't mean to be rude but a certain amount of selecting criteria is necesary to make a choice. if it is listeing to music and transfering music from pc to player and back... no one does it better than the iPod. I own 3 MD players and one Ipod - the MD and Hi MD player/recorders I used them for recording purposes of live music- for all other purposes I have not found anything better than the iPod - I have mp3s - Wav and every possible music file in it and I've never had an issue or lost a file. Besides, the resale value should you want to upgrade leaves the MS/Hi MD units in the dust.My 2 cents
