Hi atraclife members I have a Sony D-NF400 discman mp3, but its volume level is very low. I asked to the Sony service but they said europan models have low volume level for ear protection. Can I listen loud music with this or are there any test modes like NW-A1000. Please help me...

I don`t think there is any test mode for Sony Discmans .Make sure that "AVLS" is not on.

Doesn't the D-NF400 has an equalizer? Perhaps try adjusting that to increase the volume.

As well the player has something called "automatic volume distortion control" which I doubt is AVLS, but do check your manual for that, perhaps it might be causing the lower volume. Perhaps check the manual for more info on this.

Basicallycoxulid86 has already checked that "AVLS" is off.But problem still presists.

There is no Test mode in Sony Discmans for tweak such settings.

Any model where you can enter the test mode, you can turn off the sound limitation by the EU.
