I bought a NW-A3000 today, but all three possibilities for file transfer don't work.

Connect player doesn't do anything when I try to start it .

SonicStage gives an error about omgjbox.exe (?) not working.

The mp3filemanager installer doesn't detect the player.

I tried reinstalling and separately installing everything now, but it just won't work.

EDIT: The unit does show up as a removable drive though.

Welcome to "ATRACLIFE"

Have you tried to update your Connect player ?

CONNECT Player Version 1.0.02.11170

Which version of Sonic Stage are you using ?

If your using belowSonic stage ver3.3 then update to sonic stage ver3.3

The mp3filemanager installer doesn't detect the player.

Unfourtunately,Mp3fileVer 2.0 Manager Doesn`t work with new "A-SERIES"(eg NW-A3000)

Edit#2

SonicStage gives an error about omgjbox.exe (?) not working.

When you do go delete and uninstall the programs, it is always wise to remove the directories the programs created in windows, in the documents and settings area.

And if possible delete any registry entries, but do back that it up before any deletions, just in case.

SS3.3 should work fine on SP2 XP and shouldn't be giving you any problems.

My windows update doesn't work, though this is not an illegal windows version but the one that came with the computer :S But I came up with the bright idea to type omgjbox.exe in google, and I found a solution. Thanks for helping me with this. Too bad that mp3 file manager doesn't work..

And a unrelated question: If I convert mp3 to Atrac, will I get better battery life? Otherwise I won't bother.

Yes, You will get better battery life but if you have songs stored in mp3`s than I will not recommend you to convert your songs to Atrac. As sound quality is lost during conversion..

Battery Duration for A-SERIES

&

A1000 and A3000 Initial Impressions, I couldn't resist.
