Alexx
Hello- i made a post like this before but I have lost it and I can't find it again. Sorry if it's been posted. But can I use NiMH cells in the side-car thing?I read that the battery in the side car needed to be at a higher voltage than the 1.2 volt internal
greenmachine
Sorry, some registrations, topics, posts & personal messages got lost due to a recent series of unfortunate events.Yes, you can use NiMH rechargeables in the external battery case without problems and no, the voltage does not have to be higher. I think you're confusing it with the power adaptor dc input, which indeed needs a higher voltage (3V).
Alexx
Thanks - i never relised. i wondered why i needed to reregister
Qwakrz
Alexx, I have seen this as well in one of the manuals somewhere. I think it is $ony covering there backs incase something goes wrong. I have used Ni-MH batteries in all my MD equipment including the external case with the RH10 & R900 without problems. Heh, i like that.Yes, i think it's 100% safe. I use 2500mah 1.2v Ni-MH's in mine with no issues.Where did you read otherwise?

Thus the voltage in my side car must be higher than that of the internal cell
