eoplocust
these are my choicesfor $208 shipped, I get the unit with everything but remotefor $228 shipped, I get the unit with everything, but instead of rm-mc40elk it comes with rm-mc32elk. and a carry case.which should I choose? or should I pass them both up and just keep searching
bobt
If I were you I'd go for the one with a remote, unless you already have a remote. Both prices sound reasonable if not a bit high, but I have seen them reach stupid prices in the last few weeks.Happy hunting.Bob
The Low Volta
as the NH1 requires the remote for certain functions, I'd never get one without the RM-MC40ELK... just have another look or get a model that doesn't require the remote that much...or invest another $75 and get the RM-MC40ELK from ebay (buyfromjapan) as well
eoplocust
believe it or not, i want the nh1 for its appeal as well as construction.i returned my rh10 because it was such high matainance, that i never took it out of its pouch, which IMO killed the reason for the oled display. why cant they make a magnesium player with oled????. then i would be happy. The Low Volta
ok, granted... the NH1 is a looker (I guess that's for most NH1 owners the big reason to love the little machine), but would you sacrifice features/useability for looks... I mean, get an NH1 if you like it, it sure is a good machine, but get one that's complete (so with the RM-MC40ELK remote) cause for one thing, the display on the recorder is so small and can show so little info that you'll have exactly the opposite problem as with the RH10... due to the strong magnesium alloy you could carry it out in the open all the time, but as there is nothing to see on the device, why would you want to do that? eoplocust
that is also true. dont get me wrong, i loved the rh10. but you are right. nh1 is a looker in itself. anyone know how does the rm-mc55elk compare to rm-mc40elk?if only sony thought to combine oel and magnesium. the 3rd gen would sell big.
