I have a Sony MD Walkman Digital Recording MZ-R70. I have the cord for recording and stuff. I want to upload music files from my computer to my md player but i have no idea how. This md player is my brother's and he gave me it when he left for college. He lost the manual for it so i have no idea how to record. I tried everything trying to record: Plugged the recording cord into the Line In Md player and plugged the other end to my computer with the hole reading Line Out. Now, i'm stuck here, i have no idea what to do. I tried playing the music and push record at the same time and such but it wouldn't record. My md player screen is cracked in the middle so i cannot read anything on it. Can anybody help me? Step by step procedures would be nice and if possible, the programs i need to download in order to upload music files from my computer to my md player would be nice too.

sorry, im a very new to this, you might want to fill me in on information regarding the md player, what it can do and not do. I saw my brother record but not exactly how he did it. It's either from a cd or from the files from his computer, but i don't know. I know it's possible so can someone please help me? If it is only possible to record from a cd with music files already in it and loaded into the disc drive of my computer to the md player then please tell me! That will clarify things up.

I'm sorry if this is not the right section to put this help or request help but i could not find anywhere else. Please some help me!!!

Thanks.

You can find a copy of the user manual here:

It could be difficult to operate with a broken display, considering that you've never done it before. You don't need any additional software for a pre-NetMD recorder because of the absence of a USB computer connection. Only realtime recording is possible.
