kime
HelloI`m new with this site and minidisc. I got old Sharp MD-MT20 recorder, and it has mic in and high/lowmicrophone sensitivity selection. So could you tell me what could be the best microphone(s) to recordloud rock concerts, ofcourse the microphone should be small. I`m from europe. Thanks. A440
Find a pair of small omnidirectional or binaural (both terms used interchangeably) mics with a frequency range of 20-20000 Hz. Your best bet is probably Ebay. Look at the Sound Professionals BMC-2 and compare those specifications to the ones sold on Ebay. A lot of homemade ones use the same basic capsules. The Low Volta
if you are from Europe (like me) ordering from SoundPro's could become expensive with import duties and VTA etc... you could try to build some mics yourself (just look for greenmachine's pinned DIY-mics thread in the recording section) or PM him as he sometimes sells stuff as well (if you aren't really handy)his mics are not expensive! and very very good!! (I use them a lot and I really love the little things...)
A440
I'm not suggesting he get the SoundPros from Europe. But the specs are a good comparison for what might be found on European eBay from small home-made mic builders.
