Today I rushed into the homepage of plusminuszero. Does anybody know specificfations about this player. As being addicted to minimalistic design I´d really like to know more about it. Especially where to buy it outside of Japan...

thanks for any information!

here is the page in english.

honestly i've never heard of it - no details are on google, not even if it's mdlp or sp only. there's a really cool 'non-component' dvd-md system too.

i hope you've got someone in japan who can purchase this for you as webstore transactions in japan are notoriously difficult for those in the outside world.

Hi,

It's nice pictures also other 2 colour: blue and red!

This MD player is clone from Sharp OEM, but don't supported 1-bit digital amplifier (4 pole plug and jack connector). Perhaps, stereo component is clone from Kenwood (?)

Check it out, language japanese:

This stereo component is similar, but without power amplifier and the body construction of plusminuszero is rechargeable plastic (green atmosphere) and is different display. Kenwood is aluminum.

Thx for your replies.

I´d have guessed the player is a clone. A comparison of Kenwoods and +-0 MD/DVD components seem to make sense, too!

Do you know which of SHARP´s models is sharing the parts?

Unfortunately the linked pmz-store hides all interesting information behind asian letters (even the contact button is encoded). But if we believe the follwing link the MD-Player was made in 2004 -> http://www.designspotter.com/weblog/archiv...video/index.php
