Could someone help me register my NW-A1000?

It says I get a free album if I register my WALKMAN. However, when I go to the registration site (http://www.sony.co.uk/ProductRegistration/ProductRegistration.action?sectiontype=Magazine&site=odw_en_GB&modelNameOrProductCode=NW-A1000&lop=t) it says I need a 16 digit code consisting of the product code / model.

Now I know the model but I have no idea what the product code is. Does anyone know what it would be or where I could find it?

I Think you need to put the serial number.Which is present in the Bar code region.

I have the same problem also.

I've tried lots of different codes and cannot get it to work, it just returns me to the previous screen.

I've tried it in both IE and Firefox and still have the same problem.

I've looked all over the place and can't find any 16-digit codes.

Closest I got was a 13-digit code which said it was for customer use.

It's quiet simple. It is not the serial on the back of the unit, there is a registration card in the box. It contains the 16 letter apla-numeric code needed for the registration

i am living in Turkey... then i will register my a3000 from sony Turkey site.. how will i get my free album?? will they send me a compact disc of a artist to my home address which is selected by me???

You can Put the Code in the site given in the first post then they will send you some instructions in your e-mail ....

But this offer is for U.K residents ONLY so you will have to use U.K IP proxy in Connect PLAYER to download the songs ..

It's one download of an album, any album, not tracks or anything else, just an album. The 16 digit code you need comes in the box with the manual. It's white and purple, one piece of paper folded in half with a long (yes, you guessed it) 16 digit code, each digit in it's own little box. You really can't miss it.

To be honest it's pointless bothering, I started downloading and never finished because it's slow and you get an error box saying failed all the time. By the time you have the majority of the album downloaded you could have become bored of listening to it after playing it so much if you bought it or (ahem) downloaded it another way.

The whole system is a mess! BTW, I live in the U.K.

I got my purple registration card, went to the site (http://www.walkman.sony-europe.com/registration), entered the code... then it tells me that I must register with Sony first after submiting my serial no. I register with Sony then try to register my NW-A1000 but it says the code has already been used. On the Sony site, under my products is the NW-A1000 so some how it appears I've registered.

I haven't received an email from Sony (my free Connect album download voucher). I can't even register myself for Connect in the (latest version of) the Connect software - the up-to-date CD version (.11170). When I click the 'register new user' button, nothing happens. I've tried using IE to register at this site too: http://www.connect-europe.com. Again, nothing happens!

I'm starting to lose my patience with Sony...

I have two questions (for Sony): Where's my email? Why can't I register with Connect?
