Question

Hi, a greeting to everyone, I'm from italy and I've just buyed a nw-a3000 sony walkman. :ol_biggrin:

I've a question for you, like much people here, I've some problems with Connect.

I've a minidisk hi-md players, I've made many greatest hit's minidisc and I'd like to import these tracks on my new nw-a3000 unit with the "same order tracks".

i know that it's possible to make a playlist by connect, but it doesn't function... :ol_sleep:

In fact, when I trasfered atrac3plus songs by connect into the nw-a3000 ,tracks order list(playlist) is no respected, I can find exclusively tracks in alphabetical order...(do I've to use the "bookmark" fuction maybe??).

How I can do to transfer in my nw-a3000 the same track list as well as i wish??

Best!!!

Max

perhaps the track number data was lost when you transferred your songs from sonicstage to connect.... my albums play in the correct track order when I tell it to play the album.

however, if you play an artist playlist it will play alphabetically.

yes even on multi-artist albums it will obey the track order.

now.. if you've updated the firmware, and it still doesn't follow your track order, there are two things you can do:

1. bring it back to sony because it sounds defective

or

2. incorporate the song number into the track name at the very beginning so you have

101 - Track One

102 - Track Two

etc where the first digit is the album number.. hopefully you have less than 10 greatest hits mixes.

but if you just got it, try the 2.01 firmware update and tell us how it goes

Many thank's for reply, I'll try to follow your advise, I'll upgrade my firmware with 2.1 version.

However, I've the same problem when I import into pc by connect some cd's, even in this case I can play tracks only in alphabetical order...

Thank's, anyway after 2.1 upgrade firmware it seems that I'm able to put all songs on device respecting "my" track list...

Thank's again!!!!

You can edit the track number in Connect by rightclicking on a song and then choose properties.

That´s a lot of work to do if you got a large collection, but it works..

btw, Connect also recognizes *.m3u playlists (Winamp playlists) and you can add them to your player, that will work too
