mactra
I've got SS 3.3. I've had a couple of previous versions and never used the back up utility in SS. I've also moved my music files around between different hard drives and folders. As a result, I've got 100s of files that aren't found by SS and plenty of duplicates. I think I just want to start all over. First, I want to reorganize my file system. Then I want to delete everything in SS and scan the new folders. 1) Will this work?2) Any drawbacks to this?Thanks,Mack3Ghz PIII 1.5 meg ram SS 3.
Skradgee
Good question. You'll defenitly want to run the SonicStage backup utility to keep any mic recordings you've created and uploaded. Of course, if you've converted ALL of your mic recordings to WAV files and stored them somewhere else, then you can blow away the atrac files without worry.I suppose that running the SonicStage backup, and then restoring that backup to a fresh installation will also restore all the dead links and songs listed in your library that you want to get rid of. Hmm. Fellow members, any ideas?
sebastianbf
If you're asking what I'm thinking you could erase all folders in your library by left clicking with "shift" pressed, the first and the last folder of your library. Then release shift and right click on any selected folder and click delete.
