joseph
Using SS3.3 with XP SP2 and MZNH1...I have a dozen GB discs and numerous re-formatted old MD's filled with a wide variety of audio... i have just purchased a box of new blue discs and am really struggling to transfer any audio onto them using SSerror messages im getting...'transfers are not allowed''device/media is full''cannot use this disc because it was initialized by another program...'these messages come at different times, in different orders and with differnt types of files - there seems to be no consistencyis this a software or a hardware problem?im seriously considering going and buying an ipod as my MZNH1 is useless to me unless i can tranfer audio files onto it Edited January 15, 2006 by joseph
pauljones52
Try reformating the discs, both in sonicstage and from the unit itself. make sure windows explorer is not open as it may be causing a conflict.

SS suddenly stops and first says 'unable to transfer' then 'unable to find file to tranfer' i then unplug the unit from the laptop and it tell me 'unable to read/play file' 'reformat disc

Christopher
Have you tried the files one by one or in smaller groups?
joseph
Have you tried the files one by one or in smaller groups?thanx kurisu, ive been doing them one by one for a while since i realised not doing so caused problems!the only way i can transfer my mp3s is to convert them to wav - problem solved i guess as no problems since i started this procedure... tis a pain in the arse though and they seem to take up more space
