The rh-10 on the other hand WILL scratch, and will scratch badly. I think you'll regret your decision. In my opinion, the nh900 is the best portable MD unit Sony has ever produced (better scroll wheel, better navigation, better digital amp, and a line out option. The nh900 is packed with features and it is very durable. If I were you, I would resist the temptation to sell off a good unit merely for the sake of getting a new one.
