xgipper
I'm really sorry if this is a repeat posting - I seem to have spent some time going round and round reading posts that are very useful but which don't quite answer my question: I want to know if there's a uk model which will upload my field recordings via usb to my Mac? (It would obvously need a mic input). Is the software required in the box?And I ony have usb 1, so I assume that, if there is such a machine, it would work but just be slower than usb 2 (s my iRiver mpeg player does.)Many thanks for any info
The Low Volta
don't know whether it is for sale in the UK or you need to import, but the only two models available that fit your requirements are the SONY HiMD's MZ-M10 and MZ-M100 (both have mic in and come with the required software and often also with a mic)all others won't do what you ask (MD->USB->mac) and even with the M-models this is only possible for PCM (CD-quality) recordings made with these models
