What device? What version of SonicStage? What kind of disc are you using? What are you trying to record: Mic-In, Line-In?

device: Sony mz-n707

sonicstage ver : 3.3(full)

disc : tdk (74MB)

type record : Line-in (PC to MD)

the recording process was success and my device writen "data save" and "toc edit"..

but,

after thoose following steps and my device plug off from PC, i turn on the device,

and the device says " BLANK DISC" :( ..

is there any chance that my recorder optic damage, or is there any posible-damage thing ?

anyway,thanks..

i've tried with other line it still not working, only after i record it says data save Toc edit, and when he device turn off, and turn on my device it says blank cd again..

That does look rather like the famous (infamous?) "broken ribbon cable problem".

One of my N910s does exactly what your N707 does, and I would imagine that the opto/magnetic transport is substantially similar between the two, and therefore liable to suffer from the same problem.

There are a few around who have successfully repaired this problem, but it seems to be almost in the "brain surgery" category, though I supposed a Sony service centre could do the job using replacement parts, though at a cost ... ?

Hopefully I am wrong :(
