WTB: Cheap MD for Mac

Sometimes a question brings up more questions, my MZ-R37 has a line out, aside from the headphones. I play my music from my MD through my PC, hooked up to my sound card. I have never tried to save the music but there has to be a program that does (no?). Also my friend has an Sony MD MZ-R909 I think that you can switch from headphones to line-out. For getting sound onto your computer Xitel used to make an interface that looked similar to the DG2 but was an I/O, these are scarce but another company, M-Audio makes a device called a Transit that does the same. These run about a $100 (http://www.minidisc-canada.com/shopexd.asp?id=272) but I've seen them on eBay for 80ish. Now these devices only get the music to your computer, saving is another thing, surely some member can fill in the blanks here. But in regards to the search for a good voice recording/copy to PC/Mac set up, I think that a bargain hunter can get hooked up for less money, if they have the facts, know what to look for, and put the community to work.

Yes, you can always record to your computer in real time, as this FAQ explains.

But people see the USB connections on the newer minidiscs and expect quick transfer of the whole recording as a file, as you can do with digital voice recorders and some mp3 recorders. That's not possible on a NetMD, (relatively) easy from Hi-MD to PC and far more limited on a Mac.
