Hello! I'm Rui from Portugal (europe)

- first of all I want to say "sorry" if this questions of mine have already been done, but this is my first time using a Hi-MD and this new (for me) way to transfer recordings into PC, and I'm in dispair, cause I've recorded this concert for a amateur and friend band, and they are really needing the recording... and I think I've messed all up

- 2nd "sorry" for my bad english... I hope someone can understand me and help me! thanks...

so my "dispair", I mean, my problem is this....

I've recorded a live Rock concert using my MZ-RH910 with a microphone (sound professionals binaural earing mic + SP power supply w Bass Rollover setting) plugged in the mic-plug-in... everything went well, I've used some of the tips here in the forum... and everything went well (a little less rec level, probably 17, but it's ok)

Then I've read the Hi-MD manual and started to transfer into my PC hard Drive, using SonicStage 2.0.03.02220, using USB cable (ofcourse)... everything normal until the program asked me if I would like to convert the files into WAV, (yes ofcourse I would love to), I said Yes.. when it started to convert an Error occured and the SonicStage had to close!!!!

- ohhh my GOD, and now?

- have I lost everything?

- Will I be able to convert the files transfered into my PC hard drive into wave?

what can I do now? can anyone HELP ME... I'm relly new at this I need someone to talk to me like I'm a completly dummy about this things..

... but I really, really need HELP ...

I've tried to download some of the programs here in the forum, but (i'm registred) I'm not allowed to do so!!!!

HELP ME someone... HELP ME PLEASEEEEE

peace

Rui from Portugal (Europe)

thanks for your time

Hi. You are having fun aren't you?

I take it that the recording has been completely uplifted from the md to the pc and it was during the WAV conversion that the error has ocurred? If so disconnect the md from the pc and check that the recording on the md is ok. Put the disc to one side (don't try uploading again at this stage). Restart SonicStage and see if the uploaded recording is still in My Library. I would suggest that you follow the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) on this site which gives help in backing up files and upgade to SonicStage 3.4.

You will probably want to copy the recording to the PC via your soundcard so that you have at least one copy safe on your PC.

You might find that when you open Sonic Stage again you are able to attempt to convert to WAV again.

If you do upgrade to 3.4 then do not upload from the md to pc whilst a copy remains in My Library as the computer will erase the recording on the MD!
