QuangBang
Can any of you noticec a difference between recording in Hi-SP and Hi-LP?
bobt
easiest way is to make a recording of the same song in both modes ( and all the others if you have SS 3.4 and a HI-MD) and listen with good heapdhones. Due to the nature of the two, it will be impossible for Hi LP to sound as good, but for non critical recorsings, or playback in a noisy environment it may suffice. Again, your ears are the best judge, try it yourself.BTW welcome to the comminity, what do you have??Bob
QuangBang
Yeah I think i'l try that, i will use it mostly on the bus so maybe LP would be ok for me. Got a MZ-RH10, missed MD so much, use to have a MZ-N10.
Qwakrz
I have a standard MD disc here full of Hi-LP recordings that I take to uni with me, when traveling on the bus I cant tell the difference between Hi-LP and Hi-SP due to the background noise. When I am at home though I swap the my Hi-SP discs as I can hear the loss in quality you get with Hi-LP because its a quiet environment. pauljones52
For me HI-LP is a little too lossy for headphone listening, LP2 is fine in noisy environments
