1kyle
Oh dear Sony --You've done it again --Your Marketing "Reptiles" wouldn't last 30 seconds on Alan Sugar's TV program "The Apprentice" Sorry to non UK readers but basically this guy Alan Sugar (a real Business entrepreneur) has a load of Youngsters on a TV program trying to complete an assignment. The winner will get a large job with a decent salary in Alan Sugars organisation Each person is literally taken apart on TV if their effort is anything less than perfect and then they are summarily dismissed rather like Anne Robinson's The Weakest Link --however at least she says Goodbye to her losing candiates.Alan Sugar is a very demanding person. Absolutely Compulsive viewing --if you ever get the chance to see it on Cable TV do watch it --I know Holland and Belgium get BBC on their cable systems.Literally just after Ce-bit -the most important Electronics show possibly this year all we get to see of the new HI-MD unit is via a "Sneak preview".Great though the new unit is is why on earth should we only get a glimpse of this via an "Un-official" or "Semi-Official" source --especially if the product is due to ship in April / May or even as late as July --not really that far away for a new product launch. Here was a PERFECT opportunity to launch the new model in a BLAZE of publicity. What did we get --Cathedral like silence from Sony. It's not even necessary to actually exhibit at the show -- new decent product announcements will always get a load of publicity at these type of shows / trade fairs.I think the product will be great as people on the other thread have already indicated very positive responses.BUT SONY PLEASE FIRE SOME OF YOUR USELESS MARKETING "REPTILES" for wasting such a golden opportunity.Cheers-K Edited March 9, 2006 by 1kyle
