Importing ATRAC file from a Sony Minidisc player

Hi,

I have a live recording of my sons band on minidisc.

I want to try and import this back onto my pc so that I can

convert the ATRAC to MP3 or whatever to put on CD.

Unfortunately I am falling at the first hurdle, when I try to

retrieve the file from my minidisc player using Sony sonic stage

I get the error "detected errors whist transferring check in failed"

Am I doing something wrong in the transfer, I am have tried using

the import arrows, I have tried dragging and dropping but aways get the same

result above. Basically am I trying to do something that isnt possible

Any help would be much appreciated and would get my son (and his bandmates)

off my back

Your 1 and only problem is the MD must be a Hi-MD and you are attempting this with a Net MD which will not work using Sonicstage. Try using Marcnet's HiMD Renderer program which has a tool to help with the realtime analog copying you will have to do to get it on PC.

Or buy a Hi-MD and re-record the tunes in HiMD format, then you will have no problems (with uploading )
