nadnerb
I've been recording with my RH10 since it came out last spring. I bought a cheaper microphone and have used it with a sound professional's battery box with bass roll off. That worked fairly well for most of my needs but the mic is nearly on the fritz. In June I will be attending the Bonnaroo festival in Nashville and am looking for the best mic I can get for under $300 if possible (I want to go all out). From what I understand it will be fairly windy there so it will have to be an omni-directional mic correct? Any suggestions of mics and/or useful accessories that will get very high quality recordings with minimal noise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! mrsoul
Go back to Sound Pros and get the premium omni mics with windscreen. Keep the battery box and use the line input. Also, you might consider an Audio Technica 822 (runs on battery power), it's cardioid but it works great in outdoor setup and has a very sturdy standard windscreen. Try these at Sound Pros: Omni SP-CMC-8Take a look at the AT822 here on ebay: AT822
