KrazyIvan
If you have a tape deck in your car you can use a tape adapter. If you have a 1/8 inch jack line-in you could use a 1/8" to 1/8 stereo line cable. If you have RCA aux in on your deck you could use a stereo 1/8" to RCA phono jack cable. If you don't have any of those you could buy one of those FM transmitter things they sell for MP3 players. 1kyle
If you have a Kenwood radio you can get a cable adapter which allows you to to play your music device through the radio.Search for my post on this topic as I've posted this info at least twice. The cable can be used for ANY DAP including 'Pods or even Cassette walkmans if you still have one.Cheers-K Edited April 11, 2006 by 1kyle
MDX-400
You should be able to find answers doing a search here or on the T-board...Quick rundown of your basic options though:-Tape Adapter (no good if you have no tape player in your car, most people don't in this day and age)-FM Transmitter (cheap, easy, but not recommended due to poor sound quality).-FM Modulator (not very expensive these days, but tough to find, requires some installation, better SQ than the transmitter but still not very good).-AUX Input Adpater (available for most factory head units through aftermarket companies, and most aftermarket HUs from their respective companies. Good sound quality especially if you have a line-out mode on your unit, which you actually don't on the NF520D unfortunately. Still better SQ than all the others. Requires some installation and not always possible/available given what HU you have in your car currently). Some car HUs (including recent model factory HUs) even have AUX inputs already on them, where all you need to do is connect up the portable via cable and you're off to the races Hope that helps! Finn88
I've got the Car adapter nailed (FM modulator), but has anyone seen a car charger that will fit the Minisdisc player. My MZ-NF810 battery has just about given up the ghost (I could get a new one like the NiMH battery NH-14WM), but since I only use it in the car (as my MZ-NHF800 superseeds it and is used instead for everyday use), I could simply use a cigarette lighter power source. Has anyone seen these, or will I have to construct my own?

Has anyone seen these, or will I have to construct my own?Well there you go, you said it, it's a power source, lol. Sorry, I just find it a littly annyoing when people refer to adapters as chargers. But anyway, yeah that's just me.What you need is a Sony DCC-E345. Well any universal car DC-DC adapter would most likely work, but the Sony one isn't particularly expensive (unless you're buying it retail, lol). The DCC-E345 offers the 4 main voltages Sony portables use (1.5V, 3V, 4.5V, 6V) and the two standard plug sizes that Sony uses. Can be had for less than $10 US on eBay and will work fine for you, to power your NF810. Simply select the right voltage (3V for that model I believe) and the right plug size (the smaller one); plug it into the cig. lighter and you're off to the races
Finn88
Yes, I mean the power supply.I've already got two power adapters (some generic brand), but none of the may plugs that come with them fit into my Minidisc player.Thank You for your response. I will look into it.
