mgillespie
It seems amonst all the crap Sony software (Connect, Vaio, SonicStage etc), there is 1 single Sony software development team that CAN write decent software.Has anyone seen the PSP Media Manager? Fantasic bit of software for converting and transferring video, audio, feeds and other content to the Sony PSP, even the 1.0 release was pretty much bug free, full functionalty, easy to use, fast... (basically everything that Connect is not).I just wish Sony had got them to do the software for the NW-A1000/3000 It would have been something decent. sh33p
could the psp manager be hacked to work with other atrac hardware?
C_player
If you don't mind losing the ability to move purchased music from Mora (in Japan) and Connect Store (in Europe and the US), any advanced features like Artist Link, playlists, Top 100, etc., then I'm sure a hacked PSP manager would be fine.Oh, and you also lose $20, since the PSP manager isn't free. Then again, why not go use SonicStage or even the publicly built GYM? Neither cost you a thing, and they both have as many (or more) features than the PSP manager does.

GYM has serious limitations. THe best thing Sony could do, is offer a SDK, so developers can do their own stuff.Perhaps a Walkman SDK and a Connect Store SDK... We can then create our ideal feature set....
