DuStU Posted April 20, 2006 Report Share Posted April 20, 2006 I took the recording level off manual its not the mic the mic I have is the decent stereo sony mic that most people have the ECM-MS907 I put the recording level all the way up and it is still too low.....the nI read in the forum that the mic in has a pre amp and the line in doesnt .......I dont have a mic in thats just gay all I have to work with is either the headphone port or the line in how can I make the recording level decent out of this darn mini disk player (MZ-N510 Type-S) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You might be able to get unit with mic-in used for the same price or lower than an ext. preamp. An ext. preamp means additional bulk (and also needs to be powered separately).
