mjp_
I noticed in the transfer menu of the screen, you can have 3 options: create an audio CD, create an ATRAC CD, create an MP3 CD. When I download music from Connect, I assume it's in ATRAC format. So if I choose the 'create an audio CD' option, presumably the music would become normal CD format? Is the ATRAC converted to normal CD format in the transfer process? Also, as ATRAC is a compressed format, does that mean that it like a full CD quality track 'squeezed together' that can be restored to its normal size in such a transfer process or does it lose some of the information permanently once it is ATRAC? I'm still a newbie with all this as you can probably tell!ThanksMjp
The Low Volta
it will be normal CD-audio format 16/44.1, but as atrac is a lossy compressed format it won't be full CD qualityConnect sells music in LP2 which is Atrac3@132kbpsThis is (for me at least) not really acceptable for music (for speech it is fine) so I would never buy music from he connect-storejust get the real CD, rip to MD with SimpleBurner... this will give you the best options as you can choose the bitrate and type of atrac AND you still have the full-quality cd!
