I went to Walmart today and bought a couple packs of the new Sony Color Collection MD's. Apparently Walmart has lowered the price on the 5-pack to just $5. Pretty good deal, so I just wanted you guys to know.

I also posted this at the T-board, so if you wanted to read the original thread it is located here.

At the Wal-Mart over here, they removed the Sony 5-pack 80min MDs from the blank media section and moved them to a clearance shelf. So, just in case you can't find them in the areas where the DVDs, CDs, and cassettes are, try checking the places where you see the pink clearance stickered stuff.

Just a quick note: Musician's Friend still has these same 5-packs for $2.99 online, IIRC. So, Wal-Mart's aren't the cheapest, but it is nice to be able to pick them up at a regular neighborhood store.

There was discussion about this over at T-Board. There is currently a 32-day waiting period (look at its "availability") for these particular Sony 5-pack 80min MDs at Musician's Friend. So, if you can wait that long, then MF is the better deal (as long as you buy at least 4 5-packs) compared to Wal-Mart's clearance.
