hi there

I am going to a live concert this week and need some urgent advice from anyone who has used a sony mini disk recorder with the combined setup of the MM-BSM-8 ear microphones and the mm-ebm-1 sound module

I am using a Sony NZ-NH1 and I have done some tests using the sound module device but need to know if anyone has used one as I have no more time to experiment with this device before the concert. There are 8 small swithces on the inside of the module so that you can alter the bass/treble effect of the recording based on the sound source. Does anyone know aht is the best setting for use in a live concert environment that will give the best results?

Set it to "flat" and do the editing afterwards via software if necessary. Use the line-in if it will be loud / bass heavy. Manually set levels will give you best results. Don't worry if you don't get it 100% right the first time, practice makes perfect. Good luck.

Hi mate what do you mean by flat? Do you have one of these devices yourself and which settings have you used to get the best results. I have used it in the house with the surround sound system very loud, but with the line-in setup the sound is VERY dead and there does not seem to be any treble in it at all no matter what swtch I put on the sound module? Yet when I use the mic input the sound is crisp but due to the high volume the sound recording is distorted! Any ideas?
