Gryzor
Anyone heard of the upcoming (end of May) SonicStage 4.0 (SonicStage CP) (CP=Connect Player)? Let's hope they only keep the good things of both programs since they seem to be on the right way with the last versions of SS... Let's also hope I'll be finally able to convert my tracks with this version CheersGryzor

doclloyd
Has anyone else read the announcement on SS CP 4.0? Sounds like it will be a significant update. The inclusion of being able to playback AAC (m4a files, not ATRAC lossles), then 3gp and mp4 video formats? Are they thinking about allowing SS CP to manage video now too? Perhaps to tie in to the PSP or an upcoming Connect Video component? Let's hope Sony releases the 4.0 USA version at the same time as Japan... Anyone else have info on this new release? indeego
All I know is what Av-Watch reported earlier this day.I am sure Sony will offer Video content (sooner or later), their "next" iPod killer (nov/dec 06?) will for sure feature such video playback, besides the fact that we might see this also for PSP. doclloyd
Just found a Europe press release for this new software along with a mini-announcement for the NW-A1200 (8GB model). http://www.sony-europe.com/view/View.actio...ssReleaseDetailThis is most interesting... if you read the PDF press release, you find the NW-A1200 will have AAC playback capabilities! Much like the Sony Ericsson Walkman phones... Too bad it doesn't list compatibility with those devices yet (I have a SE w810i). It does state audio versions of mp4 and 3gp files, but for what purpose? What devices would support these formats? Only time will tell I suppose.. or people in the know.
