celticflute
I have a Sony DATA MD pc drive that I would like to install; however, my aging desktop machine does not have a free 3 1/2" slot. I would much rather use the drive as an external peripheral on my laptop (or even on the desktop, in a pinch). Does anyone know if this is possible? Has anyone accomplished this? In any case, does anyone have any suggestions? It would, of course, be most convenient to have the drive in an external USB housing, but I will entertain any viable solutions. Thanks for the help, everyone. (This is my first post to the Forums, so please forgive me if this topic was beaten to death in some earlier posts.) celticflute
The unit is an internal Sony MDM-111 with a SCSI connection. My desktop does not have a SCSI controller in it, so I would again rather hook it up to the laptop through the PC Card slot. Any ideas? Thanks.
