twodogs Posted July 13, 2006 Report Share Posted July 13, 2006 My MZ-NH1 won't play any discs (HI-MD or otherwise)...it just spins the disc endlessly, and says "busy wait a moment" on the remote.anyone got any ideas? Does the display ever get to a point where it shows that it is trying to play a track on the disc? I have some discs that were recorded with errors...the disc spins but the timer doesn't advance and the sound doesn't play. To get past that, I play the damaged discs in another unit, but that's not a good solution if you don't have a second deck. You could try putting a cleaning disc in the unit, but it might not make much of a difference. If you still have the receipt or some proof of purchase, you could send the unit to Sony to have it fixed under warranty. They'll probably replace the optical unit in the machine and then it should work OK.I hope this helps. Post again to let us know of any further developments.
