HD-MD: transfer, slowly but surely..

How much longer will I have to wait until the most elegant of HD-MD's, the NH1*, is compatable with Music Transfer for Mac?

Thinking that at least I could use the WAV Importer I found that it only displayed recorded tracks, but that was a far as it went.

Finding on the Sony Asia support site, a download of the Music Transfer for MAC v.2 that I hoped to be the Holy Grail, turned out to be only marginally better than the WAV importer. Displaying and editing the title of recorded track is now possible, but i'd hoped for more.

I'm assuming that v.1 would be even less compatible (even if i can find it to download),

It is sad how the NH1 being one of the first HD-MD players, fails to get the software it deserves. Am I being hugely optimistic in thinking that in the next versions of MT4mac the NH1 will be fully compatible with my beloved NH1?

*statement does not include the disaster that is the accompanying recharge stand!

hi onion...welcome to MDCF!

I hope you do stick around and don't take this too personal (I just can't stand irrational blaming  ) but...

... while I am sorry that the NH1's mac incapability and the proprietary and necessary charging stand disappoint you... I'm even more sorry to say that both are things you could have and should have known beforehand, as a little research (as little as reading the user manual) would have taught you this:

- there was never mac-compatibility promised with the NH1, so any compatibility (even the very restricted now or any in the future, which I doubt as the mac software only transfers MP3 and 1st gen can't do MP3, nor can convert them to atrac on the fly and uploading still is restricted to Mac-comp machines so not even 2nd gen) should be regarded as a bonus and not as a 'failure' by Sony

- the charging stand (and other proprietary parts) of the NH1 are things that one should look into before buying as well... part of the reason I passed an went for the NH900

still, now you've come to the right place to be well-informed for future use/purchases
