I have a sharp md-mt888h minidiscplayer. (as you know is this a model without a usb connection to the computer). I want to connect the player with my apple G5 (optical out) and record a cd so that I have the exact number of titles on my minidisc.

It's said that the player overtakes the titles ( it makes a new title when there's a new one on the original cd) when you're digitally recording. again, it's not so important that I have the names of the tracks. I only want to have the number of tracks.

but somehow there are at the end of the recording only 4 in place of 18 tracks. what can I do???

thanks for your help

But in my manual is written that the recorder doesn't try to detect intermissions (of ~2 sec.). It says that the recorder creates the track numbers exactly like they are on the cd (if you're recording with an optical cable). so why do I have to put breaks between the tracks? Can it be that the manual lies ???
