Gio.
I have a sharp md-mt888h minidiscplayer. (as you know is this a model without a usb connection to the computer). I want to connect the player with my apple G5 (optical out) and record a cd so that I have the exact number of titles on my minidisc. It's said that the player overtakes the titles ( it makes a new title when there's a new one on the original cd) when you're digitally recording. again, it's not so important that I have the names of the tracks. I only want to have the number of tracks.but somehow there are at the end of the recording only 4 in place of 18 tracks. what can I do??? thanks for your help
greenmachine
The recorder tries to detect silence between songs. If it is too short or not quiet enough, it might miss them. Try to set your audio player to insert gaps of ~2sec. manually between songs. Also don't set the levels of the recorder too high.
Gio.
But in my manual is written that the recorder doesn't try to detect intermissions (of ~2 sec.). It says that the recorder creates the track numbers exactly like they are on the cd (if you're recording with an optical cable). so why do I have to put breaks between the tracks? Can it be that the manual lies ???
