Few questions before I buy NW-A3000

Can RM-MC40EL remote control work nw-a3000? Does it have full functionality or at least display track title, change volume, change track? Will the backlit work?

Software

Can I use it with sonicstage 3.3 without installing connect software? Are there any limitations?

I am MD user, I have mz-n1. It is an excellent piece of device. I want to make a transition to HDD base players and I have chose nw-a3000 because it looks sexy and it is from Sony. Will I be disappointed?

Hardware -

Not sure on this one, but id say so, as the jack looks as if its standard sony ware. ive tried other remotes ive had with my nw-a1000 and they have worked well.

Software -

you can use sonicstage, however the artist link and other features unique to the nw-a3000 will not work. not a really bad tradeoff though considering connects track record.

you will not be disappointed with the player. the nw-a series is a wonderful addition to the sony lineup and since purchasing a month ago, i have not been let down.

Just tried my RM-MC40ELK with the NW-A3000. Track change/Volume Change/Title Display/Backlit Display all work, but the scroll wheel on the right doesn't - I can't scroll through the songs with it.

few more question i would like to ask.

Will you be able to access the menu via RM-MC40ELK for the NW-A3000 ?

i know that this can be done for NW-HD5 can it be done for the NW-A3000 also ?

if this is possible, i would say NW-A3000 beats ipod

I think that it's not worth it to buy a NW-HD5 at this point unless it can be scored for cheap. After playing with the NW-A3000 and NW-A1000 at CES it is truly a better hardware experience than the HD5. Once they integrate the new Walkman features in Sonicstage (soon), it will be an optimal experience.
