Common Problem?

I returned a a second E-407 the other day due to the Group switch failing, wondering if it had happened to others, after happening twice to me.

In more detail the problem is that an upward or downward flick of the group switch only took the player back to the beggining of the current group, regardless of the direction it was moved.

The store did have stock of any 407's so i left with my £100 refunded. To be honest i'm quite pleased as the player had became quite redundant since getting my HD5h, and now i'm closer to buying my first car .

Mine did the same thing, but I realized that after playing around with the device a bit, I didn't choose Search/Menu Button > Group > All Group. With that done, it now goes to the next folder/group I made.

I'd say that it's more of an error on Sony's part for not explaining it better in the manual

oops! You could be right, afterall the switch did still work when navigating menu's...
