There is the RMNWS1 which is designed for the A1000/A3000 but it is a bit short on features and doesnot have a display.

Sony UK recommends the RM-MC35ELK (there is a 3page manual buried in their support section). I use one of these from my Minidisc player and it functions quite well. The only problem is the button which normally changes albums on minidiscs just changes songs on my A1000. but this could be due to the way I selected the songs from the player. Here is a quote from the manual:

"Finds the beginning of the first track in the previous album in the selected search mode or in the next album, or the the track previous to the currently playing track in the track list, or the next track. When All Songs is selected, finds the beginning of an index or the first track in the next index."

There are also some previous topics in this forum which discuss the pro and cons of MC33 or MC40 remotes.

On the Minidisc site there is a great guide to Sony Remotes which gives comprehensive descriptions of them thanks to yamagatacamille.

Thank you very much for the links...

The track info is very important for me... so i will buy a 35 or a 40 for my nw-a3000..

which one do you suggest?

and will sony manufacture a brand new lcd remote for nw-a3000 soon...??

if there will be a radio too, that would be great...

I've never tried a 40 so I can't comment on that. Maybe others in the forum has tried one with an A3000.

I would not think that there would be a radio remote as the one that comes with the NHF800 minidisc player has a socket that is physically different from the normal Sony remote sockets but you never know with Sony. Ishiyoshi or Kurisu may have some better insights on this.

Interestingly the manual states that the radio is more of a drain on the battery than playing a minidisc and remember Sony likes to brag about the battery life of its players.

Personally I'd like to see an LCD remote styled on the RM-MC55ELK for the A1000/3000.
