King Ghidora
I bought a used MZ-NHF800 from twoheadedboy from a post on this board and it looks like I made a mistake buying it. The speed is off considerably. I have to set Time Warp to 83% in my sound editor to get the sound to match what I get with my camcorder. The camcorder matches my other camcorder exactly and my other MD exactly so I know it's the new HIMD that's off badly. I mean the other stuff matches to within half a second over an hour. This new HIMD is off by 4 minutes in half an hour.Is there possibly a speed adjustment in the service mode or some other option I'm not thinking about? I bought this to record audio for my video projects and it's going to be a pain to have to convert everything I record before I can use it. If I don't get the ratio perfect I will still have problems. I believe I worked out the proper ratio but this shouldn't be necessary.Any help would be appreciated. The Low Volta
no problem!sorry, but you can't just expect this forum to have an answer to everything... perhaps no-one but you ever experienced this or even if they have, they might not know how to fix this (like you yourself if I may add)it is a very peculiar problem and I guess one almost needs to be a technician to know what's going on here...but the service manuals are freely downloadable, so perhaps you should have a look yourselfjust remember this ain't no official Sony helpdesk, this is just a forum full of friendly helpful ppl with their own limits... I personally do not find your cynicism appropriate here, but that is just my peronal point of view

What I posted was disappointment that no one even bothered to respond to this question I posted. Being a cynic has nothing to do with that. The Low Volta
I'm not in a position to check on one or the others' story so I can't comment on that...and my post was purely 'formalist' (i.e. I just wanted to respond once more to the 'tone of voice' in the posts by King Ghidora) but seeing the previous posts that isn't really the main point anymorePS: for the few that were interested, I can PM my response if you really wanted, but I do not want to further clutter this thread (that has gone all serious all of a sudden) Edited September 9, 2006 by The Low Volta
