crashgate
I purchased the MZ-RH1(US version) when it first was released and it works just fine. Recording or playing, I have no issues. I just purchased a MZ-NH700(AU version, which the seller failed to mention, I had just wanted a US version) and I tried to play a HI-MD disc recorded in Hi-Sp mode that I had recorded on my MZ-RH1 and the MZ-NH700 won't play the disc. It just flashes the message CANNOT PLAY. What's the deal? The disc plays fine on my MZ-RH1. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
ATELETRONICS
see if you can play the disk through sonic stage.
raintheory
If the tracks were transferred with the "as-is" setting in SonicStage, then they are probably still in mp3 format which the NH700 cannot play. Try making a disc and specifying a bitrate for Atrac3(+) conversion.
crashgate
Thank You for your response. That makes since. I didn't think about that. I have a feeling that's probably what it is.If the tracks were transferred with the "as-is" setting in SonicStage, then they are probably still in mp3 format which the NH700 cannot play. Try making a disc and specifying a bitrate for Atrac3(+) conversion.I'll try this also. Thankssee if you can play the disk through sonic stage.
